Calling all budding authors

Local author Adrienne Dines has agreed to run a Creative Writing Workshop at the Library. A chance for all to see how the role of imagination can help you create wonderful short stories.

With exercises to help people start writing and the launch of a short story competition. Whether you are seven or seventy why not come along and join in the fun.

Celebrations at New Haw Library

Posted on behalf of New Haw Library
We have a lot to celebrate

The Library has been operating for 5 years as a Community Partner Library so we want to thank all our Volunteers for their dedication and hard work in keeping the library a viable part of the community.

We had lots of our younger members take part in the Summer Reading Challenge and they are to be rewarded with certificates and medals.

The new children's area is now open after extensive refurbishment.

Come along for tea and cake and join in the celebrations.

The Runnymede Mayor will be in attendance.

AGM of New Haw Library

The Annual General Meeting will be held at the Library. Prompt start at 7.30pm. Doors Open from 7.00pm.

Our Guest Speaker is Adrienne Dines. A local Author, Speaker and Creative Writing Tutor with many years' experience helping storytellers from varied backgrounds, prisoners to preachers, to tell stories. A graduate of Trinity College Dublin, she came to the UK to teach. She believes that every imagination has great stories in it but not everyone has the skill or enthusiasm to access them. Encouraging writers and storytellers to find that spark is one of her favourite occupations. Once a teacher....

This is a great opportunity not to be missed.

Open to everyone.
